Palworld Update v0.1.3.0 Released – Load Up

Palworld’s update v0.1.3.0 went live today, the first update since the game’s launch last week. It follows up on some of the promises made in yesterday’s early access roadmap and, while relatively small, demonstrates Pocketpair’s intent to respond quickly to issues. The short change list is as follows:

  • Fixed a bug where the loading screen did not end when logging into the world
  • Fixed a bug where the world date was not displayed correctly and appeared to reset.
  • Corrected various incorrect text
  • Countermeasures against various cheats and exploits

As for the content, 3 of the 4 listed changes are all bugfixes, patching things like infinite loading screens and incorrect world dates, with the last being anti-cheating countermeasures, so don’t expect any new content quite yet.

The modest size of the update is, in part, likely due to the relative stability and polish with which the game launched, especially for Early Access. After all, Palworld has received widespread praise for good optimization and a lack of serious bugs, meaning that there is simply less to patch now that the game has released. If only more games launched with such stability.
