Deus Vult: Arena Fast 3rd Person Gameplay Kickstarter

If you love action-adventure games that seemlessly blend stealth and third person combat, then you may want to head over to Kickstarter and take a look at Deus Vult: Arena. An up and coming game by Omicron Studio that does just that, plus it includes a combat system that rewards tactical ability and quick player reflexes. Taking its inspiration from games such as ‘Soul Reaver’, ‘Metal Gear Solid’, ‘Doom’ and adding a little touch of ‘The Legend Of Zelda’ the core of the DVA experience is the dualism of its gameplay.

DVA has two main characters Minocar and Lulu spiritually linked together so they’ll need each other to proceed. Lulu takes on the exploration, stealth, and puzzle aspects of the game. Minocar takes on the Arenas! Ploughing through hordes of enemies and absorbing their spirits to increase power.

“The story of Deus Vult – Arena starts in Lythra, a place devastated by a supernatural cataclysm and populated by hostile creatures and deadly traps! The player’s goal will be to escape Lythra, to do so he will need to explore every corner of his prison, following the clues that Minocar will give him and learning to make use of his immense power!”

Lythra is an infernal dimension twisted by a supernatural cataclysm where the player will discover what really happened through clues scattered around the map, and talking with the Pure Spirits and with Minocar during the course of the adventure.

Deus Vult – Arena is a game with a persistent world with 6 dungeons linked with various shortcuts and secret passages. Every dungeon is filled with arenas and secret zones, only accessed by solving puzzles or looting specific items.

In DVA there are NPCs called the Pure Spirits which are hidden throughout the game world and will only spawn when certain enemies are killed. There are two ways to interact with these Pure Spirits: talk to them, or absorb them! Talking with a Pure Spirit will make the player lose affinity with Minocar, otherwise, the player will absorb them and gain affinity points that can be used to unlock new abilities.

All of this is created using the Unreal 4 Engine, that’s been used on Gears of War 4 and Tekken 7.

Deus Vult: Arena heading for a PC release around the end of 2018/2019. They’re also looking at a PS4 / xBox One / Nintendo Switch release in the following months.

If you think this is a great idea, and want to donate to the Deus Vult: Arena Kickstarter (and why wouldn’t you?) head over to their Kickstarter page. You can find more information there and on the official Deus Vult: Arena website.
