Exercise is
a tricky thing, you might have to go outside in the cold or rain, or make your
way all that way to the gym, and if you’re like me you’d probably prefer
playing Video Games. Well, now these two things are not mutually exclusive,
thanks to a new game called Aces of the Multiverse co-developed by Sony
Interactive Entertainment Spain (SIE Spain) and XPLORA, the European leader in
wearables for children. Now you can exercise whilst playing video games, and
not a Wii Fit in sight.
Aces of the Multiverse is a local multiplayer game, where
the players choose one of the multiverses species and competes in football
matches. It’s a unique blend of strategy, sports and trading card collection as
each player does their best to win using the players skill, whilst helped out
by the species special abilities.
It’s a game
that encourages you to get a little sweaty (not like that! Such dirty minds) as
exercise is encouraged and rewarded. B y using the XPLORA smart watches, the
activity of the player is registered and then given trading cards by way of
reward. These cards will either be characters, items or events, and can either
be rare, common or special.
There are
three different species within Aces of the Multiverse, bears, mutants and
aliens, and each of these has seven different characters and one Ace. Basically,
a special character with their own moves. All of the 21 characters in
the game have their own evolution and players will have to combine them in the
most powerful ways to become a multiverse champion in any of the three arenas
available.
