A stealth assassination-based RPG developed by Canadian
developer Mark Nasr of Exiled Thunder, called Shadowy Contracts has just been released
on Steam Early Access. Taking its inspiration from sword and sorcery movies, historical
knowledge of the Dark Ages, and classic stealth games form the 90’s, he’s single-handedly
produced a large open world stealth game with sharp graphics and detailed
character customisation.
The premise of Shadowy Contracts is a simple one. Take on assassination contracts, eliminate the target, and get paid for it or, get killed in the attempt, either’s possible. In an Arthurian world, filled with poverty, hardship and violence, the protagonist realizes that the only way that things are going to get better is if he changes things himself. After joining an assassin’s guild, he soon starts ‘changing’ the world, and discovering a magical heritage while he accumulates wealth.
Wealth that
will enable you to buy equipment from 52 weapons, 38 armor sets, and 21
weapon effects/enchants currently, but more are due to be added later. Earn
enough money and could hire and lead mercenaries into battle, which really
starts to raise the stakes.

young age. I used to wonder about how they were actually made – and if I would
ever be able to create my own games one day. A part of me has always been
fascinated by the stealth genre and what makes those games tick – even more so
with games such as Skyrim that combine stealth and combat! After studying
