Scalebound Could Be Revived as a Nintendo Switch Exclusive

Most of you will remember Scaleborn from Platinum Games because when its trailers first came out it looked insane. We all know Platinum Games likes its over-the-top set piece action sequences but Scaleborn looked like it was in another ballpark.

Scalebound is an action role-playing game developed by Platinum Games from 2013 up to its cancellation in 2017. It was scheduled to be released in 2017 for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One.

Nintendo Insider has reported that Scalebound is being looked at by Nintendo who is willing to bring it back as a Switch Exclusive. These claims were backed up by the gaming site VG247.

This is still a rumour but this rumour seems to have some weight to it, plus I personally want this to happen because from the trailers we saw all the way back then this game is full of potential and was very close to release which means most of the work should be done on this game and all Nintendo need to do is put together any missing puzzle pieces and work its magic.

Of course they could completely scrap the game and remake it in their image but that seems highly unlikely since that would be a waste of all the assets and work that’s all ready been done.

Whatever the case may be, I believe that this game should be allowed to see the light of day because it looks amazing and has an amazing concept. Don’t tell me you never wanted to have a dragon as a buddy who you can ride and fight large-as-life monsters on. Platinum games makes amazing games that’s something we all know and I believe this will be no different so fingers crossed.

I don’t know why but the gamer in me has a feeling this rumour has a touch of truth to it and maybe that’s just my very strong desire to fly on a dragon but I trust Nintendo so let’s all hope for the best for Scaleborn.
