Our Next Gen Western, Red Dead Redemption II is here!

Finally, what many of us have been waiting for a not-so sequel to Red Dead Redemption. Personally, I would love a Bully Two, but I can’t complain. Rockstar recently released the second trailer and boy does it offer major details. Take a look at Red Dead Redemption II and see for yourself…

Red Dead Redemption II is going to follow the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van Der Linde Gang. Even though the name is Red Dead II, the game is a prequel to the events of the first installment. According to Kotaku, we will get “glimpse at a younger Dutch and his merry band of outlaws.” If anyone recalls Dutch is the leader of Van Der Linde, who had John Marston of the first game as a member. Can we see a younger John Marston here? That would be huge!

Unlike Grand Theft Auto V, this is our true next-generation Rockstar game. Only looking at it we can see how stunning the game looks. There are so many details to marvel at that it just showcases how Rockstar will never cease to impress. There are glimpses of environments and how it behaves. Obviously, there are going to be robberies but what stood out was the wilderness.

Animals look like they will pose a significant threat like in the previous Red Dead. The animation looks realistic enough that it resembles a living breathing environment. I expect Rockstar to build off the great core gameplay and objectives of Red Dead I simply because it works. However, I can’t wait to see what they’ve cooked up for the online component. I am ready to get my posse and rule the wild west.

PlayStation owners are going to get a few perks when the game officially releases so there’s something to look forward to. Red Dead Redemption is still set to release Spring of 2018 but here is to hoping that it won’t be a delay considering the scale of the game.
