Gears of War 4 is an Xbox and PC exclusive, and is one of the first titles available for Xbox Play Anywhere. Xbox Play Anywhere allows a game to be played on both your Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. It saves all progress and includes achievements shared between both systems. Every co-op mode in the game will also support cross-play, so you can play with PC or Xbox players during the campaign, online multiplayer, or Horde mode! The game will launch on October 11 and there will also be an Xbox Elite Wireless Gears of War 4 Controller, available for pre-order now!
Marcus Fenix is no longer the focal point in Gears of War 4; however, you do see him at the end of the E3 gameplay footage. Perhaps you’re playing as his son? My favorite series is still the Gears of War series, well, the trilogy at least. I personally feel like Gears 3 began a slow decline for their multiplayer. With the launch of Judgment, I no longer had any desire to play the series. Gears of War 4 should hopefully bring back the original feel of Gears 1 and 2, while leaving behind the Call of Duty feel. Epic Games isn’t releasing this Gears title though. Epic sold the game to Microsoft, so we’re going to have to see what they decided to do with the title. Below you can find a link to the gameplay that was released in Microsoft’s press conference and you can see what you should expect from Gears of War 4.
