Mr Runner 2 Released on iOS

Mr Runner 2 The Masks Opening ScreenTwo weeks ago, I told you that the sequel to Mr Runner is going to hit the shelves, or at least the electronic equivalent whatever that is. Anyway, the day has come and Mr Runner 2 The Masks is now ready for you to download for your iOS device. Mr Runner 2 is the eternal and oft told tale of a man who wakes up to discover that he can’t remember anything and someone has put a steel mask over his face. The clue to Mr Runner’s identity lies in catching a mysterious stranger who definitely seems to know what’s going on.

I’ve downloaded Mr Runner 2 myself, and it’s nice to see that in a world of elaborate and confusing control methods there are still people out there who want to keep it simple. There are only two controls you need to master in Mr Runner 2, going faster and going more slowly. Read more

Arcane Legends now on iOS

arcane legends ios apple iphone ipad itouchI’ve harped on about Arcane Legends for some time now, well there’s a good reason for that. It’s a good game, well now us poor iPhone and iPad users (not to mention those good old traditional iTouch users of which I was part of for such a long time) now get to play Arcane Legends as well.

It has now been released on all iOS devices for the insanely cheap price of nothing, yep not a penny. (Oh, if the penny is not your lowest denominator of currency please feel free to substitute your own).

So far over 2 million people have downloaded the Android and Google Play versions and can that many people really be wrong. It’s possible I grant you but their not, so there.

Anyway, if you want to download this for your own iOS device just head to the apple store and search for Arcane Legends, or you can click this link here instead, if you prefer.

Tribez HD: iPad Game Review

The Tribez HD ipad game review dinosaurTired of all those RTS or FPS games? Are you looking for a resource management/city building simulation game for the iPad without having to pay a penny? Do you fancy strapping on a loincloth and getting all tribal? Well I know just the game, The Tribez HD.

The game starts with you being thrown back in time with a crazy scientific genius and ending up in a prehistoric settlement with dinosaurs and cavemen (dinosaurs and cavemen? Living together? Hmmm.) You have to help them advance their tribe and um, fulfill their tribal duties, and… ummm… look! Honestly, I have no idea. I don’t play this game for the storyline, fine though it may be. I play it because in my opinion it’s a well done resource simulation that’s fun to play. It’s certainly better than many of the other resource management games out on the iPad at the moment and you don’t have to pay a thing, well not if you don’t want to.

So what is it that makes Tribes so good? Well sit yourself down and I’ll tell you. Read more

Dark Legends Released on Chrome and Google-play

Spacetime Studios Dark legends vampire mmo logoIt’s out! After teasing us with a trailer showing a cleavage-beholden lady of the night (No, not that kind of lady of the night) Spacetime Studios have released their new vampire based MMO, Dark legends.

The game focuses around you, a newly sired vampire fighting to survive in the brutal human world. Unlike the teen-vampire films made popular in recent years, the humans don’t want to romance the vampires, in fact most humans would rather just shove a rather pointed stick through them.

Dark Legends has been launched on both desktop and mobile by way of the Chrome web store and Google play. Android users have exclusive access to the mobile platform for a couple of weeks, so if you’re an iPad or iPod user, hang on you’ll get to play soon. Read more

Dark Legends, an MMO by Spacetime Studios

I’ve caught wind of a new game in development by Spacetime Studios. Their latest MMO for handheld devices is called Dark Legends and sees you as a newly sired vampire having to defend itself from the humans wishing you and all other vampires dead.

Information on Dark Legends is a little thin on the ground, but judging by two of their previous titles, Pocket Legends and Star Legends you can expect to see the same high standard portable roleplaying, and addictive gameplay.

Please visit their site at www.darklegends.com and follow them on Twitter and Facebook. Their press-release below has more information.

Dark Legends Press Release

Spacetime Studios takes its mobile and desktop Legends franchise into a frightening new world with Dark Legends. Players will embrace the secret societies of vampires to challenge the hordes of undead, werewolves, demons and humans that hunt them. The title will be released for Android, iOS and Chrome in the first quarter of 2012.

Fans of the popular Legends franchise, Pocket Legends and Star Legends, will discover a gameplay evolution in Dark Legends that draws them even deeper into the experience. The combat system delivers fast paced, action oriented gameplay that includes new mechanics such as charge attacks and the ability to drain enemies. A wide breadth of solo and multiplayer content will also be available.

The most significant change is a much deeper focus on narrative. In addition to story communicated during the 3D multiplayer missions, players will periodically be given the option to complete quick action missions with a single tap. These missions use brief cut scenes to create an interactive storybook, where players experience the life of a vampire up-close and personal.

The company’s goal for Dark Legends is to combine casual, strategic advancement content with their award winning real-time 3D multiplayer system to create a blend of gameplay never before seen.

With each entry to the Legends franchise we raise the bar for the pick-up-and-play MMO space, said Gary Gattis, CEO, Spacetime Studios. The changes between Pocket Legends and Star Legends were significant, but Dark Legends is a quantum leap forward in interactive storytelling. Live the dark fantasy and play anywhere, anytime, anyone!

Dark Legends opens with the player recently raised and under the direction of the vampire that sired them. The secret existence of vampires has been exposed and angry, misguided humans are uniting to exterminate the undead plague by any means necessary. Players must work with their clan to survive this brutal new world.

The previous Legends titles, fantasy Pocket Legends and sci-fi Star Legends: The Blackstar Chronicles have been downloaded more than seven million times, making it the world’s largest mobile MMO franchise.

Dark Legends with be shown for the first time publicly at GDC 2012.
