I’m a huge fan of free games. Well, who isn’t to be honest and below are links to the free games and demos mentioned in this blog.
These are links to the games/demo’s hosting site, so it’s totally out of my control if any sites are down. I’ll try to keep these links up-to-date though, no-one likes a dead link.

Team Fortress 2? It’s been free for some time now. Kind of a mashup of a cartoony archetypal shooter and stamp collecting in a odd way. Play the game, get items, break down items to make other items, collect hats. It’s got 9 classes and it’s pretty fun. I’ve had it since The Orange Box came out and with the announcement awhile back, servers been populated with lots of new players. Kick in the pants for getting it would be getting Steam, but that’s a free registration and client to more games.
Just suggesting it since I’ve seen new players cropping up from odd places. Like Champions and a few console gamers that got screwed with the console version of TF2 (which doesn’t have that item drop/craft feature. you think they get mad…they got even…for free.)
Yeah, I downloaded TF2 as soon as it was free-to-play but some reason or another, it never got tested. I was under the impression that it as just a cartoony FPS. It seems that there’s a lot more so I’ll try and give it a shot soon.
