I’m a stat-head, I love statistics and numbers throw in some graphs, and charts and I’m there pawing and drooling insatiably. So, you can imagine what I felt as I read over the below email. Arcane Legends has passed another milestone and there a whole host of number and stats to go with it.
You can of course read the whole press release, but I’ve extracted all the stats here for your pleasure.
Arcane Legends, Pocket Legends, Star Legends and Dark Legends have collectively exceeded 250 million play sessions.
That equates to 64 million hours of gameplay, which works out to be 7305 years, or 100 lifetimes.
I’ve just finished writing a post about one Kickstarter campaign and even while the virtual blog ink is still drying I got told of another one. This time it is for a new RPG game called Dungeon of Elements, developed by Frogdice Games. Dungeon of Elements looks to be the answer to the question “What do you get if you cross Tetris with a fantasy RPG. The blocks that fall seem to be your method of attacking the monsters within the Tetris grid. Read more
Heavy Gear Assault has been mentioned on this site a couple of times. A Free-to-play Mech fighting game that’s been in development for a few months. Well Stompy Bot, the developers, have now launched a Kickstarter campaign with the view of raising $800,000 to help further it’s cause.
They first opted to raise cash on www.heavygear.com, raising nearly $120,000 Heavy Gear Assault website, their own servers buckled under the pressure of the success of the campaign. So with that in mind they have now started a Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds.
One of the most popular features of the game are the destructible environments, and quite honestly who doesn’t like to see the walls breaking, bridges falling and buildings succumbing to your firepower. It’s all about the realism, well I guess mindless violence plays a part somewhere. have a look at this teaser trailer of a very destructible bridge.
A few days ago I told you about I am MT Card Battle, an iOS app fresh from Asia in the iTunes store for the perfect price of, let’s see… nothing , yup, it’s completely free. Well, I said I would review it, and I did. So here you are, for your entertainment my review of I am MT Card Battle. Have you heard of a game called I Am MT: Card Battle? Well to be fair, I hadn’t until last week but there are millions of people in Asia to whom it is a very well-known card-based iOS app. Within a week of I am MT being released in the US it rocketed up the Top 10 Paid Games in the iTunes store, which is why you can now get the app for free.
I’ve had chance to give this game a go, and a review will be released on this blog shortly, but in the meantime take a look at the trailer and read the below press release to find out a little more about the game.
If you are at all interested in the uniquely named Stinky Footboard, a new gaming controller which allows you to allocate some controls to one of your feet you are likely to be interested in knowing that the Kickstarter ended today.
Stelulu Technologies, the creators of the Footboard set out to raise $75,000 in funds and walked away at the end with a little over £79,500. They’ve got to be happy with that.
So now they’ve got the funds there’s nothing stopping them from releasing the Footboard itself. The release is set for June this year, so if you want to get hold of a Stinky… (Hmmmm not sure that sounded right) you’ll just need the $119.
It’s out of my price range I’m afraid so it’s unlikely I’ll get to review a Stinky Footboard myself but you never know, one may drop into my lap from a very kind and generous source [smiles sweetly at Stelulu Technologies]… well it’s worth a shot.
If you want to read more about the Stinky Footboard check out the links below, or the official site here.
This blog is often a constant source of information from Spacetime Studios regarding Arcane Legends, but let’s not forget that there are three other games in the Legends series, Pocket Legends, Dark Legends and Star Legends and every game is still being updated with new content and new stuff to do. You’ve heard me banging on about the Stinky Footboard, the new foot-controlled gaming controller making its way through Kickstarter at the moment. I’ve managed to get in contact with the CEO and Co-Founder of Stelulu Technologies Inc. the company behind the Stinky Footboard, Steven Rivard and he has very nicely agreed to answer a few of the questions I have about the Footboard, inventing and gaming.
So without wasting any more time, let’s kick off with an easy one…
Two weeks ago, I told you that the sequel to Mr Runner is going to hit the shelves, or at least the electronic equivalent whatever that is. Anyway, the day has come and Mr Runner 2 The Masks is now ready for you to download for your iOS device. Mr Runner 2 is the eternal and oft told tale of a man who wakes up to discover that he can’t remember anything and someone has put a steel mask over his face. The clue to Mr Runner’s identity lies in catching a mysterious stranger who definitely seems to know what’s going on.
I’ve downloaded Mr Runner 2 myself, and it’s nice to see that in a world of elaborate and confusing control methods there are still people out there who want to keep it simple. There are only two controls you need to master in Mr Runner 2, going faster and going more slowly. Read more
