Well you’ve found this site and even more importantly you’ve found this page which means that you care who I am. Well bless you for that, and goddamn it I care about you too. Please feel free to browse the rest of the site, read some of my fiction and leave a comment. This may be a writing and gaming blog but I want to hear from everybody, no matter what you do or what your interests are.

One of the purposes of this blog is to say hello to the world and that I hope you’ll all be seeing a lot more of me soon. I maybe looking slightly weird on the back cover of a book, or picking up an Oscar for best screenplay, but before I do I wanna meet as many of you as I can.

Oh, and the Oscar thing? I don’t expect that anytime soon but you have to aim high, right?

Favourite  Colour:

“Blue no ye….aaaaaaaargh!” What? There’s always time for a ‘Holy Grail’ quote, surely. Well, my favourite colour is red and that really bright bilious green.

Favourite Animal:

Badger. It’s an old college days thing but they are great animals.

Favourite Film

Darn tricky this one. I think it has to be ‘Star Wars V: Empire Strikes Back’ but there are so many other worthy films. ‘Silent Hill’ is great, as is ‘Planet Terror’. In fact I could fill up half of this page with the films I love. So I’ll stick to ‘The Empire Strikes Back’.

Favourite Book

I love ‘Making History’ and ‘The Liar’ by Stephen Fry. His writing is sharp and witty and they’re a joy to keep re-reading over and over again. Ben Elton’s ‘Dead Famous’ is another favourite of mine, as is Piers Anthony’s ‘Incarnations of Immortality’ series.

Pet Hates:

Whoa, there could end up being a lot of these, even if I wrote only a tenth of my pet hates I’ll still end up coming off as a right cantankerous bugger. So instead I’ll keep it short and say my pet hates are arrogance and ignorance… Which I think sounds like an old Music Hall act.

Hobbies

Hobbies? Reading, blogging and video gaming. I know gaming is a giant time-sink and if anything does get in the way of writing it’s that, but goddamn it if it isn’t just so addictive.

Anything else?

Erm, I have OCD which always brings an interesting, not to mention geometric slant to the day. Though I think the OCD is more of a pain for other people, I’m quite happy arranging things symmetrically and putting things in lines and at angles. Some people have fun messing up my work right in front of me, to see if I’d freak out.  I have to wonder if those same people would throw things in the path of a blind person to test if he’s really blind or force a person with dyslexia to write impossibly long words. Some people are weird.
