Mr Runner 2 Released on iOS

Mr Runner 2 The Masks Opening ScreenTwo weeks ago, I told you that the sequel to Mr Runner is going to hit the shelves, or at least the electronic equivalent whatever that is. Anyway, the day has come and Mr Runner 2 The Masks is now ready for you to download for your iOS device. Mr Runner 2 is the eternal and oft told tale of a man who wakes up to discover that he can’t remember anything and someone has put a steel mask over his face. The clue to Mr Runner’s identity lies in catching a mysterious stranger who definitely seems to know what’s going on.

I’ve downloaded Mr Runner 2 myself, and it’s nice to see that in a world of elaborate and confusing control methods there are still people out there who want to keep it simple. There are only two controls you need to master in Mr Runner 2, going faster and going more slowly.

These are all the controls you need to avoid the falling roofs, giant cats, pizza’s, and sharks that stand between you and the mysterious stranger. Each level gives you the chance to unlock masks and costumes based on very recognisable figures, like Frankenstein’s monster, Ryu from Streetfighter 2 and Angry Birds.

Lose Your Mind, Your Identity in a Whimsical Dream World for the iOS:

Mr. Runner 2: The Masks

CHICAGO — April 24, 2013 – Mr. Runner 2: The Masks, a new game for iOS devices from Zing Games, thrusts players into the comical, unpredictably world of their own dreaming minds.  The continuous running platformer challenges players’ reflexes as they have fun racing across a dreamscape littered with video game and pop culture references in pursuit of a mysterious figure that holds the key to their identity.

Mr Runner 2 The Masks CatThe main character in Mr. Runner 2: The Masks awakens to find his face, locked away behind a steel mask.  Unable to remember who he is, the character must pursue an enigmatic figure through a weird and wonderful dream world populated by figments of his subconscious.

Each time the player escapes death, fragments from his memory surface and a new “face” appears on his mask but then fades away.  Unfortunately, all his brain pulls up are images of everything from classic video game characters to super heroes.

Zing Games created Mr. Runner 2: The Masks as a love letter to the gamer generation.

Mr Runner 2 The Masks Pizza“Everyone’s had a dream in which who they are and what is going on keeps randomly changing,” Ding Ye, Founder and Creative Director, Zing Games, explains. “We wanted to bring that crazy dream world logic to Mr. Runner 2: The Masks.  This game not only has the frantic excitement of a continuous running platformer, but players should have a blast spotting icons from video games, movies and television they loved as children.”

In Mr. Runner 2: The Masks players must constantly keep moving forward.  Obstacles can only be avoided by slowing down or speeding.  This minimalist design makes the game easy to learn but players abilities will be pushed to the limit as hazards come fast and furious in later levels.

• Simple two touch control
• 32 level across four worlds with different themes (such as an 80s arcade)
• Boss fights
• 54 collectable masks inspired by pop/gamer culture
• 5 costumes with special abilities
• Cartoony characters in vibrant, dream-like worlds

Mr. Runner 2: The Masks is available for $0.99 on the App Store at
